This is the flagship Prefixx integration, and it is the only guide in this knowledge base where the paperwork is done by our team rather than by you. You buy or lease a block through Prefixx and pick a Netrouting bare metal server, and from there the LOA, the RPKI ROAs and the IRR route objects are prepared by Prefixx, after which we work directly with Netrouting's NOC to bring the announcement live from AS6206.
Prerequisites
All you really need is IPv4 space registered to, or leased by, your organization, together with a Netrouting bare metal server. If you do not have the space yet, that is easily arranged: you can source a vetted block on the Prefixx marketplace or lease IPv4 addresses from as little as a /24, and leased blocks are handled in exactly the same way. Unlike the AWS, Google Cloud, Azure and Cloudflare flows described elsewhere in this knowledge base, there are no certificates for you to publish, no RDAP records for you to edit and no provisioning queue for you to wait in, because the authorization chain is built for you by the Prefixx team.
Four steps. We do the paperwork.
Everything after step two is handled by the Prefixx team working directly with Netrouting's NOC on AS6206, a network that has been multi-operator by design from the start.
Source the block
It begins with buying or leasing IPv4 space through Prefixx, either from the marketplace inventory or through an off-market match we find for you. If you already own space, it plugs straight in.
Pick the metal
Choose a Netrouting bare metal server in any of its PoPs. The block is bound to your machine specifically, rather than to some shared announcement pool.
We authorize
The LOA is prepared by our team, the RPKI ROA is created for your origin ASN, and the matching IRR route objects are published. There is nothing for you to sign or upload at any point in this step.
Announce & monitor
We coordinate the announcement with Netrouting's NOC from AS6206, or from your own ASN if you go the BYOASN route, and afterwards the visibility, RPKI validity and IRR consistency are monitored in your Prefixx portal. There is no per-IP surcharge, ever.
Here, "helps" means "does the whole thing."
Every other guide in this knowledge base ends with a list of manual steps that Prefixx can assist you with: ROAs, IRR objects, LOAs, RDAP edits and so on. On Netrouting, there is no such list waiting for you at the end. All of it is performed by our team as part of the deal, working directly with Netrouting's NOC, and this holds for bought, leased and BYOASN configurations alike.

There is no per-IP surcharge for announcing your own or leased space on Netrouting bare metal, and we are rather proud of that. What you pay for is the block itself, whether that is a purchase price or a lease, and the server you run it on; the LOA, RPKI and IRR work is included in the deal at no extra charge. For current block pricing, the simplest thing is to contact Prefixx directly.
Once your block is secured and your server is live, the LOA is prepared by our team, the ROA is created, the route objects are published, and the announcement is then coordinated with Netrouting's NOC from AS6206. At no point do you file paperwork yourself or wait in a self-service provisioning queue, as you would in the AWS, Google Cloud and Azure flows. It is handled end to end by us, and we confirm with you the moment the prefix is visible.
Yes, and that portability is really the whole point of BYOIP. The block is registered to you, or leased by you, so the announcement can be withdrawn at any time and the very same addresses taken to AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Vultr, Cloudflare or any other BGP-capable network you care to name. There is no re-IP, no renumbering and no DNS scramble, and your reputation and allowlist entries move along with you.
