Bring Your Own IP lets you use your own IPv4 address blocks — whether purchased or leased — on the hosting or cloud platform of your choice. Instead of relying on a provider's shared IP space, you announce your own prefixes via BGP, giving you full control over your address reputation, routing and portability.
Prefixx acts as your BYOIP partner throughout the process: we source clean IPv4 blocks, handle quality assurance and reputation checks, provision Letters of Authorization (LOA), configure RPKI and route objects, and provide ongoing support — regardless of where you deploy.
Talk to a BYOIP specialistPrefixx supplies BYOIP-ready IPv4 blocks for any platform. We handle the sourcing, documentation and RPKI — you choose where to announce.
Bring your Prefixx IPv4 addresses to AWS EC2 instances. Supports /24 minimum prefix with ROA validation and BGP announcement. Prefixx provides the LOA and RPKI records you need to onboard.
Use your own IP ranges with Azure custom IP address prefixes. Supports both IPv4 and IPv6 BYOIP configurations. Prefixx handles the provisioning and documentation required by Azure.
Deploy your IPv4 addresses on GCP Compute Engine. GCP supports BYOIP for static external addresses with full regional control. We supply the clean blocks and RPKI configuration.
Bring your IPv4 prefixes to Cloudflare for DDoS protection via Magic Transit or proxy services with Spectrum. Prefixx provides the LOA and coordinates the onboarding process.

Need to deploy on a different platform? Prefixx can assist with BYOIP configuration on any provider that supports BGP or LOA-based announcements.
Whether you're deploying on a public cloud or on bare metal, Prefixx manages the IP side of the equation so you don't have to:
You don't need to be a BGP expert. Prefixx handles the administrative and technical groundwork — you choose where to deploy.
Public cloud BYOIP works, but comes with trade-offs: minimum prefix sizes, regional limitations, provisioning delays and limited BGP control. If you need more flexibility, our sister company Netrouting offers a fully managed bare metal alternative.
On Netrouting you get dedicated hardware with no shared tenancy, direct BGP peering, full RPKI support and no restrictions on how you announce your address space. Since Prefixx and Netrouting are part of the same organization, the entire process — from IP sourcing to deployment — is managed in-house with a single point of contact.

BYOIP stands for Bring Your Own IP. It allows you to use your own IPv4 address blocks — whether purchased or leased — on a cloud or hosting provider's infrastructure. Instead of using the provider's IP addresses, you announce your own prefixes, giving you full control over your address space, routing and reputation.
Most major cloud platforms support BYOIP, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Cloudflare. Each has its own onboarding process and requirements. Prefixx can supply BYOIP-ready IPv4 blocks for any of these platforms — we handle the LOA, RPKI and route objects so you're ready to onboard. For organizations that want a fully managed deployment with no cloud provider limitations, our sister company Netrouting offers BYOIP on dedicated bare metal servers.
Prefixx handles the IP side: sourcing clean IPv4 blocks, quality and reputation checks, LOA provisioning, RPKI configuration and route object management. The actual BYOIP deployment on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Cloudflare is managed through their respective consoles and support channels. For Netrouting bare metal — our own platform — we handle everything end-to-end, including BGP configuration and ongoing monitoring.
BYOASN stands for Bring Your Own Autonomous System Number. An ASN is required to announce IP prefixes via BGP on your own terms. If your organization holds its own ASN, you can use it on Netrouting bare metal for full routing independence. Most public cloud BYOIP setups do not require your own ASN. If you don't have one but need it, Prefixx can help you obtain one through ARIN, RIPE NCC or APNIC.
Public cloud BYOIP is convenient but comes with restrictions — minimum prefix sizes, regional limitations, provisioning delays and limited control over BGP configuration. Netrouting bare metal gives you dedicated hardware, direct BGP peering, full RPKI support and no restrictions on how you announce your address space. Since Prefixx and Netrouting are sister companies, the entire process is managed in-house.
If you already have an IPv4 block, Prefixx can prepare your LOA and RPKI records within 24 hours. If you need to source IPs first, we can provision a leased block in as little as 24 hours, or facilitate a purchased block transfer in 1-6 weeks depending on the registry. Deployment timelines on the cloud platform side vary by provider.
The globally accepted minimum prefix size for BGP announcements is a /24 (256 IP addresses). This applies to both cloud platforms and bare metal deployments. Prefixx can help you source blocks of any size from /24 through /8, either through purchase or lease.
