Customer Verification Policy
Effective November 4, 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Purpose
Prefixx, Inc. ("Prefixx") verifies the businesses it contracts with and the persons who sign on their behalf in order to prevent fraud, to comply with sanctions, export control and tax obligations, and to meet the requirements of regional Internet registries. This policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions and supplements Section 7 (Obligations of Customer) of the Service Agreement.
2. Business verification
2.1 Prefixx verifies the business behind each Account before an order is accepted. Until verification is complete, quotes and holds remain available, and no Work Order can be accepted.
2.2 Verification is performed by Didit Identity Spain, S.L. ("Didit") through a hosted session that the Customer starts from the client application. Where Prefixx carries out a verification without Didit, Prefixx staff review the business directly and may request supporting information.
2.3 As part of business verification, the business and the persons acting for it are screened against sanctions and other watch lists. A possible match is reviewed by Prefixx staff before a decision is recorded.
3. Signer verification
3.1 Prefixx may require the person who signs a Work Order to verify his or her identity before the signature is accepted. The verification uses a government-issued identity document and a liveness check performed by Didit, with the consent of the person concerned.
3.2 Prefixx compares the name on the identity document with the name given by the signer. A successful verification remains valid for twelve months for the same email address and name.
3.3 Prefixx staff may verify a signer by other means for a single Work Order and shall record the reason.
4. Repeated verification
Prefixx requires business verification again when a verified business changes its company name, legal name, company registration number or country of registration, and may require it again at any other time on reasonable grounds. While the repeated verification is open, new orders cannot be accepted.
5. Information kept
5.1 Prefixx keeps the outcome of each verification only, as described in Section 5 of the Privacy Policy. Prefixx does not receive or keep copies of identity documents, photographs or biometric data. The data collected in a verification session is kept by Didit on Prefixx's behalf as described in Section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
5.2 Verification records are retained for the life of the Account and for five years after the Account is closed, unless a longer period is required by law.
6. Outcome and review
6.1 The result reported by Didit is applied to the Account. Where verification does not succeed, the Customer may start a new verification from the client application.
6.2 The Customer, or a person affected, may request review of a result by a member of Prefixx staff by contacting [email protected]. Prefixx staff may record a different decision. Prefixx is not obliged to disclose the reasons for a decision where disclosure is restricted by law.
6.3 Where the Customer fails verification, or fails to complete it within a reasonable period after being asked, Prefixx may decline pending orders. The consequences for Resources already held under a Work Order are as set forth in the Service Agreement, including its Section 7.i.
7. Changes
Prefixx may amend this policy. Prefixx shall publish the amended policy with a new version number and its effective date and shall notify Account holders of material changes by email before they take effect.
